Tewksbury Memorial and Billerica Memorial are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Redmen will square off against the Indians at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Tewksbury Memorial is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Tewksbury Memorial is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Massachusetts' top teams: Central Catholic, who was ranked 20th at the time (Tewksbury Memorial was ranked fifth). The Redmen had just enough and edged out the Raiders 14-13 on Friday.

Julianna Cappiello was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and one double. Lila Areias was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tewksbury Memorial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in four consecutive contests.

While Billerica Memorial didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Lowell a 4-0 shutout on Sunday. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won four in a row.

Tewksbury Memorial's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Billerica Memorial, their record is now 7-4.

Tewksbury Memorial beat Billerica Memorial 6-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redmen since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
