Football Recap: Philomath Falls to Stayton in First Game of Season

Philomath had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Stayton Eagles, falling 52-27. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Coming up, Philomath will square off against Newport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stayton, they will face off against Astoria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
