Recap: Red Cloud Warriors vs. Sandy Creek Cougars

The Red Cloud Warriors waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They blew past Sandy Creek 48-27. Red Cloud has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Red Cloud can attribute much of their success to Adelynn Minnick, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Minnick has scored all season. Kari Kucera was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Red Cloud pushed their record up to 8-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Sandy Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Red Cloud will face off against Superior at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Superior focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Saturday. As for Sandy Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Blue Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Blue Hill is ranked 202nd, while Sandy Creek is ranked 224th).
