Basketball Recap: Aquinas Find Success

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Aquinas ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 62-58 W over the Ontario Christian Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-45 last Wednesday.

Lj Hall went supernova for Aquinas, putting up 24 points and six assists. The dominant performance gave Hall a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Juju Mareno, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 16 points along with five boards and three steals.

Despite the loss, Ontario Christian had strong showings from Cole Jones, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Mason Salazar, who went 9 of 17 en route to 23 points and five boards. The match was Jones' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Cash Marshall was another key player, scoring five points in addition to four steals and three blocks.

Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Ontario Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-12.

Aquinas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 80-61 win against Woodcrest Christian on the 24th. As for Ontario Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-47 victory against Arrowhead Christian on the 24th.
