The St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs will head out to face off against the Montgomery Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

St. Vincent de Paul is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 49 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Ukiah on Saturday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 27-6. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Even if they lost, St. Vincent de Paul's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Zach Dunaj, Levi Kennedy, and Lorenzo Webb, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Montgomery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 41-12 loss at the hands of Analy. The Vikings were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Vincent de Paul fell to 7-1. As for Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything came up roses for St. Vincent de Paul against Montgomery in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 49-13 victory. In that contest, the Mustangs amassed a halftime lead of 35-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
