Recap: Liguori Academy Falcons vs. Thomas A. Edison Owls
If the Liguori Academy Falcons were feeling good off their 63-32 takedown of the Kimberton Waldorf Bulls last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Liguori Academy was the victim of a rough 54-34 loss at the hands of Thomas A. Edison on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Liguori Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 380th, while Thomas A. Edison is ranked 121st).
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Naiem Scott-Allen, who scored ten points. Daviel Calderon was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Thomas A. Edison's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ernan Rivera, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Andre Roberts, who scored 12 points.
Liguori Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Thomas A. Edison, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Liguori Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Bethel Baptist Academy at 3:15 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Bethel Baptist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday. As for Thomas A. Edison, they will head out on the road to face off against Richmond Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
