It was a good run, but Westwood unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ridge View Raptors. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Raptors are ranked 17th).

Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Ridge View, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Westwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-49 loss against South O'Brien on the 11th. As for Ridge View, they will head out on the road to take on Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
