High school football: Top 5 Alaska players from the Class of 2022

East Anchorage athlete Deuce Zimmermann headlines top prospects, according to 247Sports.

Ahead of the 2021 high school football season, MaxPreps is breaking down the top senior prospects in the country state-by-state, as rated by 247Sports. Alaska opens play Aug. 13.

East Anchorage features two of the state's Top 5 players, with Deuce Zimmermann ranking in the Top 125 nationally as an athlete. Zimmerman is listed as a wide receiver and cornerback for the Thunderbirds, which open as the top-ranked team in the state after finishing 7-0 last season.
