Plymouth dropped their record down to 7-7 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Manitowoc Lincoln Ships, falling 14-4. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Ships from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Cole Kuhn was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

As for Manitowoc Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by nine runs or more this season.

On Manitowoc Lincoln's side, Cade Grapentine and Nick Braun did most of the damage at the plate: Grapentine went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Braun got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI Braun has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kameron Braun, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plymouth will face off against Oostburg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Manitowoc Lincoln, they will challenge Bay Port at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Ships' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
