Softball Recap: Cole Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Cole duked it out with Yorktown on Saturday. The Cole Cougars fell just short of the Yorktown Wildcats by a score of 13-11. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kiraevani Palik was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Foy, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Cole's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Yorktown, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Cole didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 0-0 tie against Saint Mary's Hall on the 4th. As for Yorktown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-16 defeat against Kenedy on the 4th.
