Basketball Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss

If Middletown was feeling good fresh off their 64-43 takedown of Kingston last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Middletown Middie Bears fell just short of the Pine Bush Bushmen by a score of 79-76 on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (64), the Middie Bears still had to take the loss.

Middletown has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Pine Bush, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

Middletown will be playing at home against Saratoga Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pine Bush, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Minisink Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pine Bush is facing Minisink Valley at the right time seeing as Minisink Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
