Volleyball Recap: Tri-City Christian Takes a Loss

If Tri-City Christian was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of John Yowell Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Tri-City Christian lost 3-0 to the Winston Salem Christian Lions on Thursday.

While Tri-City Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Winston Salem Christian's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 27-25.

Tri-City Christian's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Winston Salem Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Tri-City Christian will take on rival NCSSM: Durham at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Winston Salem Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Tri-City Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
