Volleyball Recap: Fredericksburg Billies vs. Davenport Wolves
Fredericksburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Davenport Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Billies of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-10.
Logan Strong was nothing short of spectacular for Davenport: she had 29 digs and three aces. Strong is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Dahl, who had four digs and 15 assists.
Fredericksburg's loss dropped their record down to 14-19. As for Davenport, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 31-7.
Fredericksburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Canyon Lake on the 15th. Davenport has also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Bandera on the 15th.
