Basketball Game Preview: McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers vs. Windsor Forest Knights

The McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers and the Windsor Forest Knights will face off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in McIntosh County Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

McIntosh County Academy saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against Bradwell Institute by a score of 60-53. The win was all the more spectacular given the Buccaneers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Tigers are ranked 43rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Windsor Forest). They managed a 93-89 victory over Brunswick on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Knights who have now won three matches in a row.

Windsor Forest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for McIntosh County Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

McIntosh County Academy suffered a grim 93-73 defeat to Windsor Forest when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Can McIntosh County Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
