Basketball Preview: Chase County Longhorns vs. Hitchcock County Falcons
The Chase County Longhorns will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hitchcock County Falcons on Tuesday. Chase County is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
On Saturday, Chase County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to the Bulldogs.
Meanwhile, Hitchcock County came into Saturday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took down Arapahoe 51-36 on Saturday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hitchcock County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madysen Carlson, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and two steals. Raegan Hagan was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Chase County's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Hitchcock County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.
Everything came up roses for Chase County against the Falcons when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 54-23 victory. With Chase County ahead 31-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
