Logan fell victim to Santa Rosa and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 1-0. The Longhorns' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Aydin Kotara spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Logan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Sanchez, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Logan's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Santa Rosa, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Logan by a score of 13-2 later that day.
