            Softball Recap: Lincoln Golden Bears vs. Weaver Bearcats        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against St. Clair County, Lincoln was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They were the clear victors by  a  10-1 margin over the Weaver Bearcats. The Golden Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.

  Aubrey Machen was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs and three  RBI while going 2-for-3. Those  two  home runs gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maddie Smith, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs.
Lincoln is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-13-1 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Weaver, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 8-8.
 Lincoln didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-1  loss against Boaz on the 11th. As for Weaver, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  an  8-5  defeat against Victory Christian on the 11th.
