Monroe hadn't beaten Piedmont on the road since September 15, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Redhawks beat the Panthers by a goal, winning 5-4. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Yoseht Lopez was handed one for Monroe, while Piedmont got theirs courtesy of Alejandro Sanchez-Perez.

Monroe hit Piedmont with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jesus Quizapa-Sanchez (3), Keven Lopez-Ramirez, and Jordan Moser.

Monroe's win bumped their record up to 7-5-4. As for Piedmont, they dropped their record down to 3-8-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
