Volleyball Recap: Devils Lake Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Devils Lake's tournament run continued when they took on Des Lacs-Burlington on Saturday. The Firebirds fell just short of the Lakers by a score of 3-2.

The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Devils Lake lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Devils Lake still got an impressive performance from Julia McIvor, who had 77 digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Jossy Lamb, who had 12 assists and six digs.

Devils Lake dropped their record down to 5-7-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Des Lacs-Burlington, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Devils Lake will challenge Nedrose at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Des Lacs-Burlington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Max at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
