Westminster Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the BridgePrep Village Green Bulldogs, posting a 28-0 win. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 560th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westminster Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Vera, who threw for 162 yards and three TDs on only 12 passes. 87 of Vera's passing yards were hauled in by Britton Bayag, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Westminster Christian's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Daniel Fernandez Jr with three sacks. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played. Gianni Dalessio got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Westminster Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for BridgePrep Village Green, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Westminster Christian will square off against Archbishop Carroll at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Warriors 2.2, the Bulldogs 12.5) so any points scored will be well earned. As for BridgePrep Village Green, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Palmer Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on October 10.
