After a string of four wins, Forsyth Country Day's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 57-48 to the Greensboro Day School Bengals. While losing is never fun, the Furies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Bengals are ranked 55th).

Several Furies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lila Kelly, who posted 21 points. Gigi Lyons was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Forsyth Country Day's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-11. As for Greensboro Day School, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-9.
