Softball Game Preview: Grant Tigers vs. Oakridge Eagles

Grant is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Oakridge is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Tigers will welcome the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grant has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Grant is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since May 3rd last Monday. They lost 13-3 to North Muskegon.

Grant saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilliana DeLosSantos, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Oakridge made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sparta on Friday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 15-9 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Oakridge is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-8.
