Volleyball Recap: Monday's Victory Is the Vanguard School's Fifth in Last Six Outings

The Vanguard School extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Sam Piedad. The Coursers put the hurt on the Atlas Preparatory School Gryphons with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday for which the team can thank Piedad, who had 23 digs and four aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: The Vanguard School took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-9.

The Vanguard School is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season. As for Atlas Preparatory School, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
