Basketball Recap: Beavercreek Falls Short of Groveport-Madison in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Beavercreek can now relate to. They fell just short of the Groveport-Madison Cruisers by a score of 52-49 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Beavers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Cruisers are ranked 49th).

Beavercreek dropped their record down to 11-15 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Groveport-Madison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Beavercreek nor Groveport-Madison have any future games scheduled.
