Softball Recap: Veritas Academy vs. Brentwood Christian Bears

It was a good run, but Veritas Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Brentwood Christian Bears by a score of 2-1. Veritas Academy was red-hot at the plate headed into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the six matchups prior) but Brentwood Christian's pitchers proved too tough.

For Brentwood Christian's part, McKenna Counts made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched.
