Softball Recap: Belleville East Comes Up Short

Belleville East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Moline Maroons. That's two games in a row now that the Lancers have lost by exactly two runs.

Belleville East's loss dropped their record down to 24-8. As for Moline, their victory bumped their record up to 12-18.

Coming up, Belleville East will square off against Collinsville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moline, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Bellevue at 2:00 p.m.
