Baseball Recap: Peninsula Comes Up Short

Peninsula was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 14-9 to the Woodcrest Christian Royals.

Peninsula's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Woodcrest Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Coming up, Peninsula will head out on the road to take on North at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Saxons' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Woodcrest Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against Chaparral on the 16th.
