After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lane Tech, Whitney Young was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Northside Mustangs a 4-0 shutout. Whitney Young might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by three goals or more this season.

They hit Northside with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Maddie Huffman, Danielle Lam, Ella Cutler, and Tallulah Avery.

Whitney Young is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those six matches. As for Northside, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-1.
