Football Recap: Kathleen Comes Up Short on the Road Against Ridge Community + How To Watch

Kathleen kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 33-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ridge Community Bolts. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Lavonski Tubbs had an outrageously good game for Ridge Community as he rushed for 275 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry. Tubbs' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 161 rushing yards dating back to last season. Daniel James was another key player, picking up 93 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Looking ahead, Kathleen will challenge Mulberry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ridge Community, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Lake Wales at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 968 yards in their previous games.
