Basketball Recap: Murray County Central Comes Up Short

Murray County Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Edgerton Flying Dutchmen at home by a 61-44 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-58 back in December of 2024.

Murray County Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Edgerton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-12.

Murray County Central is taking a road trip to face off against Westbrook-Walnut Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. Westbrook-Walnut Grove will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Murray County Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Edgerton, they will be playing at home against Mountain Lake/Comfrey at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
