Soccer Preview: Mullen Aims to Extend Its Streak Against Centaurus

The Mullen Mustangs will challenge the Centaurus Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mullen will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Mullen beat Cherry Creek 4-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Mullen's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Cherry Creek are ranked 74th).

Meanwhile, Centaurus' game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Regis Groff by a score of 3-2.

Mullen's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Centaurus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's taken a bite out of their 2-4 record this season.
