Baseball Recap: Greenwood Comes Up Short

Greenwood lost against Decatur Central on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Woodmen fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 4-3. The Woodmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jayden Pierce made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Greenwood's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Decatur Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenwood will challenge Indian Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Decatur Central, they will take on Terre Haute North Vigo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
