Football Game Preview: New Hope Trojans vs. Lafayette Commodores + How To Watch

New Hope is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing at home against the Lafayette Commodores at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, everything came up roses for New Hope against Saltillo as the team secured a 62-28 victory. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Lafayette didn't have too much trouble with PURE Academy on Friday as they won 30-14.

Lafayette's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB 3.5 times. Tyler Wiley was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three sacks himself. He also forced onefumble, which is notable because Lafayette is undefeated when he posts at least one forced fumble, but 1-2 otherwise.

Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for New Hope, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for New Hope against Lafayette in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-7 win. In that contest, the Trojans amassed a halftime lead of 35-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
