Kearns is 8-1 against Hunter since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Kearns' offense hasn't had much luck over their past five contests, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Kearns is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Granger last Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Cougars took a blow against the Lancers, falling 56-7. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-7.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Karim Bustos, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 35 points the game before, Hunter was a bit more limited in their contest last Thursday. They lost 31-7 to West Jordan. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Kearns' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hunter, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
