Basketball Game Preview: Hudson Falls Tigers vs. Amsterdam Rams

Hudson Falls is 2-8 against Amsterdam since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Hudson Falls Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Amsterdam Rams at 7:00 p.m.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 87-49, which was the final score in Hudson Falls' tilt against Glens Falls on Friday. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Amsterdam). Everything went their way against Schuylerville on Tuesday as Amsterdam made off with a 77-56 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Rams who have now won three contests in a row.

Hudson Falls better keep an eye on Jude Flint. He was instrumental in Amsterdam's win, going 8 of 11 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Flint has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was CJ Miller, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 14 points and five boards.

Amsterdam's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Hudson Falls, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.

Hudson Falls came up short against Amsterdam in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 71-58. Can Hudson Falls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
