Basketball Recap: Holy Cross Extends Winning Streak to Five

Holy Cross hadn't done well against St. Augustine recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Holy Cross Tigers walked away with a 51-43 win over the St. Augustine Purple Knights. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 56-34 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Holy Cross, bringing their record for this year to 21-3. As for St. Augustine, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-4.

Archbishop Rummel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.5 points per game this season. As for St. Augustine, they will challenge Edna Karr at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
