Baseball Recap: Judge Memorial Catholic Finds Home Field Redemption Against Providence Hall

Judge Memorial Catholic's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Providence Hall on Friday. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Patriots 14-13. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Dominic Fassio made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Judge Memorial Catholic is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-10 otherwise. Fassio was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kohl Donelson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Isaiah Ibarra was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Judge Memorial Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Judge Memorial Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Providence Hall, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-5.
