Soccer Recap: Mountain View's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After flying high against Mica Mountain last Friday, Mountain View came back down to earth. The Mountain View Toros fell 2-0 to the Casteel Colts on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Toros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Colts are ranked first).

Mountain View moved to 6-5-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Casteel, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Mountain View will square off against Red Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Red Mountain will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Mountain View surely won't give up without a fight. Casteel has already played their next matchup (against Basha), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
