Cole Scarce posted a new career-low in walks on Monday. He made a splash, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He was dominant the last time he took on Roanoke Catholic back in April of 2024, so they probably should've seen this coming. Scarce has become a key player for Carlisle: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-3 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Scarce and Carlisle will head out to challenge Virginia Episcopal School at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Scarce had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their matchup back in April of 2024 12-1.
