Baseball Recap: Prattville Starts off Right with Win over Bryant

Prattville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Bryant Hurricanes with a sharp 11-1 win. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 9-0 victory the Hurricanes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2018.

Brody Crovato looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mason Piper, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and one run. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Chris Hardaway was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Prattville has already played their next contest (against Saraland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bryant, they will face off against Thomasville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
