White Bear Lake is a perfect 4-0 against St. Paul Central since August of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. White Bear Lake will be strutting in after a victory while St. Paul Central will be coming in after a defeat.

White Bear Lake will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Woodbury, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bears walked away with a 3-1 win over the Royals on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won three in a row.

White Bear Lake was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-8, 23-25, 26-24, 25-18.

Meanwhile, St. Paul Central came up short against Two Rivers on Saturday and fell 3-1.

While St. Paul Central had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 15-25, 25-19, 25-21.

St. Paul Central's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 5-6. As for White Bear Lake, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

White Bear Lake beat St. Paul Central 3-1 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
