Basketball Recap: Henrietta Bearcats vs. Petrolia Pirates
Henrietta took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They took down the Petrolia Pirates 39-23. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bearcats as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Holland Horton and Kelly Daniels certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Horton had nine points along with two steals, while Daniels had two points along with eight rebounds. What's more, Horton also racked up three threes, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.
Henrietta will challenge Memorial at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Petrolia, they will look to take advantage of their home-court for the first time this season as they take on Iowa Park at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
