The Memorial Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Jersey Village Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.
Memorial had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Northbrook on Friday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 12 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Elise Adams was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Adams was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Sophie Vlasak was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Isabella Borrego, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.
Memorial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northbrook only posted an OBP of .357.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Jersey Village was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cypress Ridge.
Jordyn Battise was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.
Memorial's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Jersey Village, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Memorial hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .395. However, it's not like Jersey Village struggles in that department as they've averaged .322. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Memorial's way against Jersey Village in their previous matchup back in March, as Memorial made off with an 18-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
