Civic Memorial came tearing into Saturday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Nokomis Redskins with points to spare, taking the game 53-37. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 50-36 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Civic Memorial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adam Ogden, who went 5 for 9 en route to 17 points. August Frankford was another key player, putting up ten points along with eight boards and four steals.

Civic Memorial smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Civic Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Nokomis, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
