Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Charter Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Lincoln Charter barely beat Mountain Island Charter the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Lincoln Charter blew past Mountain Island Charter 3-0 on Thursday. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raptors, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-10, 25-12.

Lincoln Charter can attribute much of their success to Eli Withers, who had eight digs and three aces.

Withers wasn't the only good server: Lincoln Charter was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Lincoln Charter pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mountain Island Charter, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln Charter will head out to take on Hough at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hough will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Lincoln Charter surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mountain Island Charter, they will venture away from home to square off against Mooresville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
