Basketball Game Preview: Parish Hill Pirates vs. Achievement First

Parish Hill is 10-0 against Achievement First since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Parish Hill Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge Achievement First at 5:00 p.m. Parish Hill will be strutting in after a victory while Achievement First will be coming in after a loss.

Last Thursday, Parish Hill didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy], but they still walked away with a 44-40 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Parish Hill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hannah Becker out in front who went 8 of 14 on her way to 16 points and three blocks. The dominant performance also gave Becker a new career-high in assists (four). Julie Millerd was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Parish Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Achievement First was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 53-5 loss at the hands of Academy of Science and Innovation.

Parish Hill pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Achievement First, they now have a losing record at 0-1.
