Sandwich dropped their record down to 9-9 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Richmond-Burton Rockets, falling 8-0. Sandwich saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayden Corneils, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Abigail Johnson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

As for Richmond-Burton, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-6-1. Considering they have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Richmond-Burton's side, Hailey Holtz was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. Holtz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Rebecca Lanz was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
