Westside came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Madison Marlins with a sharp 71-45 victory. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Marlins are ranked 1130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westside's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Madison, they moved to 6-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
