Palmyra-Macedon took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They never let the Penn Yan Academy Mustangs get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. For the Red Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 8-6 victory the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.
Camron Quick made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Palmyra-Macedon got a big performance out of Jordan Goff, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Ryan Caffyn, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
