Parkway Center City takes loss despite strong efforts from Dock Brown and Israel Mckinley

The Parkway Center City Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 63 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Strawberry Mansion. Parkway Center City has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Israel Mckinley and Dock Brown certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Mckinley dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Brown dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 34.9% of Parkway Center City's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Fortune, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Parkway Center City were working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Parkway Center City has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Strawberry Mansion, they pushed their record up to 5-10 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Parkway Center City on the road again on Friday and play against Martin Luther King at 3:15 p.m. on January 26th. Martin Luther King is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Strawberry Mansion, they will be playing in front of their home fans against High School of the Future at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
